Jeannot had been used for insemination from an early age, and was rented out to other farms for breeding purposes. But in the last 2 seasons, reproduction has failed: no new babies have been born!

A farm animal that is not useful, that produces nothing, has no value and becomes a waste product to be disposed of.

Jeannot is a gentle soul who accepted us from day one, walking around the sanctuary glued to our leg. He’s already grown in confidence and walks alone or accompanied by his new herd, even welcoming visitors who arrive at the gate. Nothing seems to bother him except closed doors! Locked up all his life, he now enjoys his freedom, the choice of staying in his pen or going for a walk as he pleases. And what’s more, Russel has already fallen in love with him!
