I am D’artagnan

D’artagnan arrived at SAFE in 2020 with his great companion Ferdinand. They used to live on a farm, but as they were fighting with the other ducks, the owner brought them to us. D’artagan is an Indian runner. His greatest friend is d’Artagnan, whom he never lets go more than a few paces. If Ferdinand is nowhere to be found, D’Artagnan will spend all his time looking for him, refusing to return to the barn until his companion has returned.

D’Artagan loves to roam the sanctuary freely, and spends most of his days swimming and diving on the pond or relaxing in the shade with his best friends Ferdinand and Clover.

I love coming to welcome visitors to the Sanctuary with my sister Delilah! We are considered the guard geese :)

Patsy

I’m a sweet and affectionate duck, and I love swimming in my little pool near the house. The volunteers take me there every day!

Samson

Samson was brought to us by a caring soul. He had an injured leg when he arrived and was limping badly. Now that he is healed he has elected to live on the pond at SAFE.

Calvin

I am the biggest of all my bovine friends! I am often asked how old am I :)

Léon

I’m the new kid in pig space and I’m also the most nimble! I love taking mud baths.

Matilda

If something happens, she is the first to investigate. After the storm passes, Matilda returns to her curious nature, growling happily when scratched behind her ears.
